Sloppy Joes
A sloppy joe is messy, nostalgic comfort food at its absolute finest. Seasoned ground beef simmered in a rich, tangy-sweet tomato sauce that's loaded with savory depth from hints of Worcestershire, garlic, and brown sugar, all piled high on a soft, pillowy hamburger bun that soaks up every last drop of that incredible sauce. The moment you take a bite, it's a glorious, saucy explosion of bold, hearty flavor that somehow manages to taste like home no matter where you eat it. Sure, you'll need extra napkins — but every messy, delicious bite is absolutely worth it.

Instructions
Add ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, red pepper flakes, and black pepper together to make the sloppy joe sauce. Stir and set aside.
Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef and brown, breaking apart as it cooks. Drain fat from the cooked meat.
Add onion and bell pepper to same skillet and cook 2-3 minutes, until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds or so, until fragrant.
Add beef back to the skillet and add tomato paste. Stir well.
Add sloppy joe sauce from above to the ground beef mixture and stir thoroughly to combine.
Cook over MED heat for 10-15 minutes, until mixture has thickened to your liking. Remove from heat and serve over open faced buns. Top with a touch of mustard for the finishing touch!
